Woodbury’s Axel’s Bonfire has a new look after a little bit of remodeling was done at the end of June.
The restaurant, which is known for its wood-fire cooking, was given new colors, accents and updates to brighten up the space, General Manager Andrew Rowland said.
“Some cabinet work right when you walk in that kind of highlighted the wood-fire aspects of our business” was also added, he said.
Rowland said it was time to give the space a few new fixtures to keep it up-to-date.
“Some new lighting, nothing is going to stand out for a new feature, but there is some really nice detail work that was done,” he said.
The restaurant closed for four days and re-opened June 29.
Axel’s Bonfire has six locations in the Twin Cities including the Woodbury restaurant that has been open for about nine years. The menu changes monthly and features seasonal ingredients.
