Letter to the editor: Metzger’s message connects

How refreshing to read House District 53B candidate Ann Marie Metzger's recent column on why she is running for the Minnesota Legislature and what she sees as the core issues facing our community and state.

Ms. Metzger clearly understands that a thriving economy and top-notch education system go hand in hand. And she is passionate about making sure that all Minnesotans have access to affordable, quality health care. These investments are based on basic Minnesota values that should be front and center at the state Capitol.

Contrast this with Andrea Kieffer's obsession with constitutional amendments that take away people's rights, and her stubborn fixation on allowing guns, military assault rifles, and other weapons in Woodbury neighborhoods. Is this the kind of representation Woodbury families want?

If we send someone to St. Paul who will work for us instead of for the party bosses focused on distracting voters while screwing the middle class, Woodbury and Minnesota can continue being

great places to raise a family and have a small business. The choice is clear, and that's why I'm voting for Ann Marie Metzger for state representative.
