If you’re planning on going to Woodbury’s Carver Lake Park this summer, be prepared to take the long way.
During a presentation Wednesday, May 23, to Woodbury City Council on upcoming construction projects, Engineering and Public Works Director David Jessup noted that a Metropolitan Council project will affect the entry to Carver Lake Park.
The project begins the second week of June and will last until August, Jessup said. The project – which involves sewer work – will require detours for drivers.
Jessup said the city will make efforts to post detour signs in Woodbury.
The project came as a surprise to council members. Mayor Mary Giuliani Stephens requested the city send a letter to Met Council.
“We’d love to be involved in projects that happen to happen in our city,” she said.
