Gas line ruptured outside Liberty Ridge; students kept safe, principal states
Liberty Ridge Elementary officials sent an email today to parents after a gas line was ruptured outside the school.
Liberty Ridge Elementary officials sent an email today to parents after a gas line was ruptured outside the school.
According to an email from Principal Mike Moore, the line was ruptured while construction workers were tearing up a sidewalk as part of the initial stages of the Liberty Ridge Site II project.
Moore said Woodbury Public Safety emergency workers were on scene “immediately,” as were Xcel Energy workers. Students were kept inside the building while repairs were made.
“At no point were students in danger during the brief event,” Moore wrote in the email.
