Bulletin Athletes of the Week: Woodbury's Matt Hamilton

Woodbury’s Matt Hamilton showed why he’s a team captain and leader for the Royals golf team this year.

Hamilton, a senior, carded a team-best 74, tying for third place overall at the nine-team Don Saatzer Invitational on May 7 at Hastings Country Club last week as Woodbury tied for third place as a team. Later in the week Hamilton, who is class president and holds a 4.12 GPA, shot a two-day 151 (75, 76) finishing in eighth place overall and earning All-Tournament Team honors as the Royals finished in sixth place in the 12-team Detroit Lakes Invitational. He will attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison next fall to study engineering.
