Woodbury junior Brooke Pantila earned her first varsity win, allowing five hits in a 4-1 win over defending Class AAA state champion Hastings. She also helped the Royals out with her bat last week, hitting a homerun in a loss to Forest Lake.
It was a good time for a statement. Last week, Woodbury pitcher Brooke Pantila showed what she can do on the softball diamond. Pantila, a junior, earned her first varsity win, allowing five hits in a 4-1 win over defending Class AAA state champion Hastings. She also helped the Royals out with her bat last week, hitting a homerun in a loss to Forest Lake. In addition, Pantila had a shutout going into the fifth inning against rival Park and ended up allowing six hits and two runs in a hard-luck loss to the Wolfpack.
