Woodbury upgrades Eagle Valley liquor license
Woodbury City Council approved an upgraded license for the Eagle Valley Golf Course Wednesday.
Woodbury City Council approved an upgraded license for the Eagle Valley Golf Course Wednesday.
The current liquor license at the golf course allows for wine and strong beer. That was changed to a full on-sale intoxicating liquor license with Sunday sales in an effort to increase revenue and stay competitive, city staff said.
The golf course has been open since 1998 and state law requires that the facility maintain a sales ratio of 60 percent food to 40 percent alcohol.
City Clerk Kim Blaeser said that ratio has been difficult to meet and with a competitive golf market, it was important that Eagle Valley take action to level the playing field.
