Trendi Salon expands

Trendi Salon, a family hair salon located at 1705 Weir Drive, has nearly doubled its space and added full spa services.

The business opened in February 2009 in Royal Center, the strip mall next to the Woodbury McDonald’s.

Owner and lead stylist Barb Kelm immediately remodeled the space and focused her staff on providing the best possible hair care for the growing customer base.

Last fall, the space in the mall adjacent to Trendi was vacated, and Kelm set out with a plan to transform her hair salon into a full service salon and spa, she said.

The additional space allows Trendi Salon and Spa to offer massages, facials, pedicures, waxing and other services.

Kelm used the expansion as an opportunity to remodel the salon as well with all new stylist stations and luxury shampoo bowls, while still keeping the space welcoming and calming, she said.

Trendi has also added an experienced massage therapist and esthetician, and now has a staff of eight.

Trendi Salon and Spa re-opened for business in March.
