SECTION 00 11 13ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Woodbury, Minnesota, in the City Hall at 8301 Valley Creek Road, until 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 3, 2012 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud for the furnishing of all labor, materials, and all else necessary for the following:

CD-P78.3 Infiltration Basins

In general, work consists of the following approximate quantities:

1 LS Common Excavation

186 LF 12", 24", 36", 48" RCP Storm Sewer

1 EA 12" Outlet Structure

2 EA Overflow Structure with Trash Guard

17.5 AC Temporary Seed and Hydromulch

2,300 LF Silt Fence, Type Machine Sliced

550 SY Turf Reinforcement Mat

Together with all correlated work and appurtenances.

Bidders desiring a copy of the Bidding Documents may obtain them from the Issuing Office of Ulteig, 5201 East River Road, Minneapolis, MN 55421, 763-571-2500 upon payment of a non-refundable fee of $100. Bidding Documents may be seen at the office of the City of Woodbury Public Works/Engineering Department and at the Issuing Office. You may download the digital plan documents for $20.00 by inputting the Quest Project No. 1968930 on QuestCDN.com at 952-233-1632 or info@questcdn.com.

The City of Woodbury has adopted a standard document entitled "Standard Project Manual for Utility and Street Construction", dated March 1, 2012, which includes the Procurement and Contracting Requirements and Specifications which are hereby incorporated into the Bidding Documents. Bidders are required to purchase a copy of this standard document once per year. A copy may be obtained from the City of Woodbury Engineering Department for the non-refundable fee of $100. If this document has been purchased in 2012 for a previous bid, it does not need to be purchased again.

Bids shall be directed to City of Woodbury - Engineering Division securely sealed and endorsed upon the outside wrapper, "BID FOR CD-P78.3 INFILTRATION BASINS, CITY PROJECT 25-2012-01."

Bid Security in the amount of 5 percent of the amount of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

The Owner reserves the right to retain the deposits of the 3 lowest Bidders for a period not to exceed 60 days after the date and time set for the Opening of Bids. No Bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the date and time set for the Opening of Bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein, and further reserves the right to award the Contract to the best interests of the Owner.
