Afton approves final payment for former city administrator
Afton City Council approved former City Administrator Sara Irvine’s final payment during its March 20 meeting.
The end of Irvine’s contract, and a settlement agreement, were approved last month during a special City Council meeting.
The agreement that City Council outlined said the decision was mutual, the city would draft a positive letter of recommendation for Irvine, Irvine would be paid three months of salary and she will receive compensation for vacation time and personal time accrued at a maximum of 128 hours.
During the March 20 meeting, City Council approved a total payment of $17,860.41.
Afton approves cost share with state, county
Afton City Council approved a title work cost share with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and Washington County during its March 20 meeting.
Title work is occurring as the first step in the city’s levee and infrastructure improvements as part of the flood mitigation grant the city has with the Minnesota DNR.
The title work is necessary to identify ownership of the proposed public improvement projects along the city’s levee and County Road 21, St. Croix Trail.
The city’s share of the title work cost will total $1,375.
Washington County will cover $3,125 of the cost and the Minnesota DNR will cover $4,500 of the cost.
