Pre-St. Patrick's Day tee times trotted out as warm weather arrives

As if this week’s balmy forecast wasn’t enough to stir thoughts of summer, the city of Woodbury dealt residents another early-season surprise: it’s time to golf.

As if this week’s balmy forecast wasn’t enough to stir thoughts of summer, the city of Woodbury dealt residents another early-season surprise: it’s time to golf.

The city notified residents through its InTouch system that Eagle Valley Golf Course opens Wednesday – a day when temperatures are expected to top 70 degrees.

Here’s the National Weather Service’s forecast for Woodbury through Saturday:

Today: Sunny, with a high near 64. Calm wind becoming south between 4 and 7 mph.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 47. South southeast wind between 7 and 10 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 73. South wind 7 to 9 mph becoming northwest.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 43. North northwest wind around 6 mph.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 71. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 47.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 70.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 54.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 72.
