Woodbury Athlete of the Week: Victor Lugg

Woodbury’s Victor Lugg showed why he’s one of the state’s top sprinters last week.

    Woodbury senior swimmer Victor Lugg won the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle and helped the Royals’ 200-yard freestyle relay and 200-yard medley relays take second place to reach the state meet in the maximum four events.

Woodbury’s Victor Lugg showed why he’s one of the state’s top sprinters last week.

Lugg, a senior swimmer, won the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle and helped the Royals’ 200-yard freestyle relay and 200-yard medley relays take second place to reach the state meet in the maximum four events.

Lugg won both of his sprints fairly easily, although competing against senior Stillwater record-holder Vince Radecke. Lugg won the 50 free in a time of 21.62 edging Radecke’s 21.85 and won the 100 free with a time of 47.59, compared to Radecke’s 48.11.
