The Woodbury girls hockey team kept things close with Suburban East Conference and intra-district rival Park, but fell short, 3-1, on Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Bielenberg Sports Complex.

Park (7-5; 4-4 SEC) scored the first goal of the game to take a 1-0 lead with 3:01 to play in the first period. However, Woodbury (1-10; 0-8 SEC) tied the game 1-1 as Rachel Letsche scored with one second left on the clock in the first period. Letsch leads the team in scoring on the year with five points.

Next, Woodbury takes on rival East Ridge (2-9-1; 0-7-1 SEC) on Tuesday, Jan. 3. Woodbury is 2-0 historically against the Raptors. Last year Woodbury beat East Ridge 4-0 and 3-1.
