Celebrating the tradition of Thanksgiving
The spirit and tradition of Thanksgiving was alive Tuesday when Middleton Elementary put on its annual Thanksgiving play.By: Amber Kispert-Smith, Woodbury Bulletin
- "Lewis & clark and the Bird Girl"
“Lewis & Clark and the Bird Girl” tells the story of Sacagawea’s life and her travels with famous explorers Lewis and Clark. Native American customs and interactions with the United States government are highlighted in the play.
The spirit and tradition of Thanksgiving was alive Tuesday when Middleton Elementary put on its annual Thanksgiving play.
Joan Hochman's third grade class performed “Lewis & Clark and the Bird Girl” for family members.
“Lewis & Clark and the Bird Girl” tells the story of Sacagawea’s life and her travels with famous explorers Lewis and Clark. Native American customs and interactions with the United States government are highlighted in the play.
Two students portray each character in the play so that each student is able to be involved. Students are given their roles by drawing names.
