TITLE: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WOODBURY, WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA, PROVIDING THAT THE CITY CODE BE AMENDED BY AMENDING CHAPTER 11, LICENSES, PERMITS AND MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS REGULATIONS BY ADDING ARTICLE XIV REGULATING MASSAGE THERAPY BUSINESS AND MASSAGE THERAPIST LICENSES

SUMMARY OF WOODBURY ORDINANCE NO. 1843

Article XIV was added to Chapter 11, Licenses, Permits and Miscellaneous Business Regulations to the City Code to require licensing and regulation of massage therapy businesses and massage therapists within the City. Article XIV provides for definitions of massage, massage therapy business, massage therapist and other related terms. The Article provides for exemption from the licensing and regulations under the Article. The Article provides for the licensing process, eligibility for license, and regulation of licenses.

Please Note: This title and "Summary of an Ordinance of the City of Woodbury Amending the Woodbury City Code by Amending Chapter 11, Licenses, Permits and Miscellaneous Business regulations by adding Article XIV regulating Massage Therapy Business and Massage Therapist Licenses" clearly informs this public of the intent and effect of the ordinance and conforms with Minnesota Statutes Section 412.191 and Section 331A.01, SUBD. 10.
