The East Ridge Raptors and Woodbury Royals cheerleaders said they were overwhelmed by the response to its “Unite the Night” coat drive they sponsored at the rival schools’ football game back on Sept. 23. The cheerleaders from both schools worked together to collect more than six barrels of coats and winter clothing (compared to last year’s collection of two barrels). The coats were collected for the Salvation Army’s Coats for Kids program and will be given to children in need in the Twin Cities area.
