The East Ridge volleyball team ran its win streak to four-straight games, before falling 3-2 to Suburban East Conference foe Roseville on Thursday, Oct. 6, at East Ridge High School.
The Raptors (11-11; 4-3 SEC) loss to Roseville came on the heels of a 3-0 conference win over Hastings on Tuesday, Oct. 4, in Hastings and a 3-2 (25-20, 21-25, 25-23, 19-25, 11-15) non-conference victory at Minneapolis Southwest on Monday, Oct. 3.
In the win over Hastings, East Ridge swept the Raiders (7-15; 0-7 SEC) by a score of 25-17, 25-14-25, 25-12.
East Ridge junior Tess Kelzenberg led the way in the win over Hastings, with 31 set assists, five digs and two kills, while going 11-for-12 serving. Junior outside hitter Margaret Eggert led the Raptors’ offensive attack with a team-best 12 kills to go along with five digs and a block. Also, senior Cayla Kissner had a team-high 13 digs, and senior Maggie Remke added 10 kills and two digs.
East Ridge traveled to rival Woodbury on Tuesday, Oct. 11, after the Bulletin went to print.
Next, the Raptors play host to Stillwater on Thursday, Oct. 13, at East Ridge High School.
