A Friday night crash in Washington County left two Hudson people injured, including one who remained in critical condition today.

The crash, which occurred just before 9 p.m. Friday night, left Corie Erickson, 23, a 2007 Hudson High School graduate, in critical condition. Her condition had not changed as of 9 a.m. Monday according to a source at Regions Hospital in St. Paul.

She was a passenger in a vehicle driven by John P. Hartmon, 24, also of Hudson. Both he and Erickson were transported to Regions Hospital along with a second passenger in the car, Paul J. Oman, 26, of New Richmond. Hartmon was listed in fair condition on Monday morning. Oman was treated and released.

According to authorities, Hartmon’s vehicle was struck head-on when a car driven by Gavin J. Langer, 28, of Sheboygan, crossed the center line on Minnesota Highway 95 near Stillwater. Langer was also taken to Regions with less serious injuries.

The crash is under investigation but the Minnesota State Patrol has reported that alcohol was detected on both drivers. None of the drivers or passengers were wearing seat belts.

Erickson is the daughter of John and Diane Erickson of Houlton, Wis. Hartmon, who also attended Hudson High School, is the son of John and Constance Hartmon of Hudson.

The accident closed down the highway at the accident site for two hours on Friday night.
