Thousands of people turned out to fight back against cancer Friday during the 2011 Relay for Life of South Washington County at East Ridge High School.

Thousands of people turned out to fight back against cancer Friday during the 2011 Relay for Life of South Washington County at East Ridge High School.
This year's event raised $235,567.09.
The event drew a total of 1,477 walkers, making up 130 teams, but many more attended in support of the walkers.
This year's event is hoping to raise $230,000.
