It was a beautiful day for a barbecue last Thursday at Woodbury High School.
On May 26, for the fourth year in a row, the school’s Community Outreach program held a schoolwide outdoor barbecue.
During the event, students enjoyed a lunch of hot dogs, hamburgers, ice cream, cookies and pop.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Susan G. Komen for the Cure is an organization that raises awareness, and money, for breast cancer research.
Also during the event, were a student dunk tank, a visit by radio station 96.3 Now and a pop-bottle ring toss.
“It’s a good end-of-the year project,” Community Outreach teacher Theresa VonRuden said. “It’s great way to celebrate the end of the year.”
