A 22-year-old Woodbury woman was killed Monday after a two-vehicle collision in Sherburne County.
A 22-year-old Woodbury woman was killed Monday after a two-vehicle collision in Sherburne County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Jessica Harapan died at St. Cloud Hospital as a result of injuries sustained in a crash that occurred at 9:49 a.m. Monday.
Harapan was a 2007 Woodbury High School graduate. According to her LinkedIn profile, she planned to graduate St. Cloud State University in 2012.
Troopers reported Harapan’s vehicle made a turn off Highway 10 in Sherburne County when it was struck broadside by a work-duty Hino truck driven by Brian Tomes, 25, Rockford, Minn. Tomes and a passenger, 36-year-old Derek Hannegrefs of Rockford, were not injured, according to the State Patrol.
Alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the crash.
Harapan was wearing her seat belt and an airbag in her 1998 Ford Taurus deployed.
