Stillwater roughed up the East Ridge girls basketball team 71-47 in the Suburban East Conference on Tuesday, Jan. 18, at Stillwater High School.
In the game, the Ponies (8-8; 5-3 SEC) jumped out to a 34-19 halftime lead and outscored East Ridge 37-28 in the second half to secure the victory.
Freshman forward Jamie Swanson had a team-high 12 points and sophomore guard Hannah Pignato scored 11 points in the loss. Additionally, Brianna Walker, Kelsey Basten and Katie Hagberg each netted seven points for East Ridge (5-9; 1-7 SEC).
Stillwater’s Savanna Handevidt had a game-high 21 points to lead the Ponies.
On the year, Swanson leads the team in scoring with a 9.2 points per game average, followed by Hagberg at 8.9 points per game and Walker at 7.2 points per game.
Next, the Raptors play host to Forest Lake (5-9; 2-6 SEC) on Friday, Jan. 21, at 7:15 p.m. at East Ridge High School.
