East Ridge girls basketball: Raptors win first conference game behind Swanson's 25 points

Backed by Jamie Swanson's 25 points, the East Ridge girls basketball team won its first Suburban East Conference game of the year, coming from behind to defeat Hastings 50-49 on Tuesday, Jan. 11, at East Ridge High School.

The East Ridge girls basketball team won its first Suburban East Conference game of the year, coming from behind to defeat Hastings 50-49 on Tuesday, Jan. 11, at East Ridge High School.

Down 21-16 at the half, East Ridge (5-7; 1-5 SEC) outscored the Raiders 34-28 in the second half to earn the one-point win.

East Ridge freshman forward Jamie Swanson had a game-high and personal season-high 25 points to lead the way for the Raptors in the win. Additionally, sophomore forward Courtney Keefe netted eight points for East Ridge. Liz Keena had 25 points to lead Hastings (0-12; 0-6 SEC).

Next, East Ridge plays host to Cretin-Derham Hall (1-12; 1-5 SEC) on Friday, Jan. 14, at East Ridge.
