East Ridge boys basketball: Pahl's 21 points helps Raptors beat Hastings

The East Ridge boys basketball team outscored Suburban East Conference foe Hastings 39-29 in the second half to overpower the Raiders with a 69-57 win on Tuesday, Jan. 1 in Hastings.
Junior guard Justin Pahl led the way for the Raptors (8-3; 2-2 SEC) in the win with a game-high 21 points. Pahl currently leads the team in scoring with a 16.1 points per game average. Also, senior center Adam Schwartz was big in the middle with 16 points and senior guards John Hietpas and Jake Coquyt each netted nine points. Darius Wilkerson had a team-high 18 points for Hastings (1-8; 0-4 SEC) in the loss.
Next, East Ridge travels to St. Paul to take on seventh-ranked Cretin Derham Hall on Friday, Jan. 14. The Raiders (7-2; 3-1 SEC) are coming off of a 64-44 win over Woodbury.
