The East Ridge boys basketball team earned a trip to the finals of the Trinity Holiday Tournament with an 81-54 dismantling of host Trinity School at River Ridge on Wednesday, Dec. 29.
The Raptors (5-2) will now face Minnehaha Academy (4-2) in the championship game on Thursday, Dec. 30.
In the win over Trinity School (3-3), East Ridge went ahead 36-21 at the half and built on its lead by outscoring the ? 45-33 in the second half for the 27 point win.
Junior guard Justin Pahl led the way for the Raptors in the win with a game-high and season-high 27 points. Pahl, a transfer from Mahtomedi, leads the team in scoring this season with an average of 14.7 points per game.
Additionally, senior point guard John Hietpas had 20 points and senior center Brian Reick had 11 points in the win. Hietpas and Rieck’s scoring totals were also personal season highs.
East Ridge has now won four games in a row.
