New Life Academy was undone by Mahtomedi, 70-49 on Tuesday, Dec. 21, in a non-conference contest at Mahtomedi High School.
The Eagles (1-3) fell behind 41-31 at the half and were outscored 29-18 in the second half by the Zephyrs (3-1).
NLA junior forward Alex Heiser scored a team-high 11 points for the Eagles. Additionally, senior Michael Jensen added eight points and juniors Dan Otto and Cody Linton each had six points.
Next, New Life Academy opens Minnesota Christian Athletic Association play against St. Croix Lutheran on Friday, Jan. 7, in Woodbury.
