Non-conference foe Simley dealt the New Life boys basketball team a 48-22 loss in its 2010-11 season opener on Tuesday, Dec. 7, at Simley.
Junior forward Alex Hieser, senior forward James Housworth and senior center Sam Berg each had eight points in the loss for the youthful Eagles. Junior forward Dillon Kaup led the way for Simley (1-0) with a game-high 16 points in the win.
Next, the Eagles (0-1) play host to non-conference opponent St. Paul Humboldt (1-2) on Friday, Dec. 10, at New Life Academy.
