A group of Woodbury Elementary School parents are taking their concerns about District 833’s Spanish Immersion program to the streets.

Parents on Tuesday afternoon started picketing outside the school, in protest of a proposal to expand the Nuevas Fronteras Spanish Immersion program by relocating children in one of four neighborhood schools, including Woodbury Elementary.

The parents plan to picket daily along Upper Afton Road in Woodbury ahead of a Nov. 23 public meeting on the future of the Spanish Immersion program.

Check back for a full story on some parents’ concerns about Spanish Immersion program proposals before the School Board.
