Voters sent Julie Ohs back for another Woodbury City Council term and Christopher Burns narrowly won an open seat.
In a field of 16 candidates, Ohs garnered 18 percent of the vote, according to the secretary of state's unofficial vote results. In her re-election campaign she touted the importance of maintaining some consistency on the City Council as Woodbury elected a new mayor.
Burns, who grew up in Woodbury and recently has been involved with city volunteer commissions, edged out another long-time Woodbury resident. Burns garnered 10.62 percent of the vote. Mark Wackerfuss came in third with 10.07 percent.
Burns replaces Mary Giuliani Stephens, who was elected mayor.
