The Minnesota State Patrol is seeking the public’s help for any information regarding a hit-and-run accident Tuesday evening in Hastings.
The motorcycle-car accident resulted in serious injuries to the operator of the motorcycle, who is William Rhodes, a 51-year-old Hastings man.
The accident at Highways 61 and 55 was reported at about 8:30 p.m. The motorcycle was traveling on Highway 61 and the second vehicle was turning from Highway 61 onto Highway 55. The motorcycle was cut off by the car and crashed into its right side.
Rhodes was taken to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, where he is in critical condition.
The car left the scene. It is described as a gold Ford passenger car with heavy damage to the right side. Its windows should also be blown out and it is also missing its right side mirror.
