Thirteen members of the St. Ambrose competition cheerleading squad recently attended the Universal Cheerleading Association’s summer camp at the Kalahari Resort and Convention Center in Wisconsin Dells, Wis. The Crusaders placed first in both stunt sequence and extreme dance routine, earning the team a chance to participate in the pre-game show for the Capital One Bowl in Orlando , Fla. on New Year’s Day.

Both Emily Brabbit and Allison Detviler earned All-American selection and a chance to join other All –American cheerleaders from across the country in Philadelphia for the Thanksgiving Day Parade. MaKenna Berger earned the Camp Leadership Award.
