Eagle Valley Golf Course, (651) 714-3750, is the public 18-hole championship course in Woodbury. Visible from Woodbury Drive just south of Valley Creek Road, the course is run from sunup to sundown every day, and it features a pro shop, clubhouse and practice area. In its second full season, Eagle Valley offers a 60-station range with bent grass tees and on-course-style target greens.
Approximately 40,000 golfers play Eagle Valley’s links during the season. The price for nine holes is $24. For 18 holes Monday through Thursday, the price is $37. Friday through Sunday the price rises to $42 for 18 holes. Add $10.50 for a 9-hole cart, $16.50 for 18 holes.
The course also offers lessons for groups or individuals. They host junior clinics and adult clinics throughout the season. All levels are welcome.
Prestwick Golf Course, (651) 731-4763, is Woodbury’s semi-public course, located at 9555 Wedgewood Drive.
This par-72, championship golf course features four sets of tees ranging in length from 5,228 yards to 6,750 yards. It is the home course of Woodbury High School’s boys’ and girls’ golf teams.
Prestwick is open from sunrise to sunset and features a pro shop staffed by PGA professionals and club fitting and repair as well as group and individual instruction.
The price for non-members ranges from $24 for the weekday twilight special to $89 for 18 holes of weekend golf (Friday to Sunday).
Memberships are available in a number of categories designed to fit each golfer’s needs.
