Woodbury’s Central Park opened September of 2002. The indoor park facility, with the adjacent R.H. Stafford Library, is home to the School District 833 Early Childhood and Family Education program.

The Park is open from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday the park is open from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Central Park is the product of a partnership between the City of Woodbury, Washington County, the Southeast Area YMCA and the ECFE. The nearly 93,000 square foot building cost almost $13 million. Woodbury’s share of the construction costs was about $5.5 million.

Performances in the 200-seat park amphitheater are held year-round. From the park’s central area, there are links to both the YMCA and Stonecrest — a senior housing development next to Central Park.

Lookout Ridge, the themed indoor playground, includes a spiral slide, lookout tower and super slide. Lookout Ridge is fee based and is open daily. Birthday party packages are available. For details, call (651) 414-3455 or visit the Lookout Ridge website at www.WoodburyLookoutRidge.com for more information, pricing, and a virtual tour.

Central Park offers affordable meeting space for groups ranging from 10-150 during the normal hours of operation.

The city also allows groups to rent the entire park on weekend evenings for weddings, birthday parties, anniversary parties and other types of special events. A rental of the entire facility can seat up to 250 guests and offers settings for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies and receptions.

You can find more information regarding rentals at Central Park including: pricing, photos, a virtual tour, room capacities, and food and beverage regulations on the Central Park Web site at www.WoodburyCentralPark.com.
