I-494 weekend ramp closure planned

Motorists should plan for another traffic change this weekend as part of the ongoing Interstate 494 construction in Woodbury.

The ramp from northbound I-494 to eastbound Interstate 94 is scheduled to be closed Saturday and Sunday, the Minnesota Department of Transportation said. The ramp should be reopened before Monday morning rush hour.

That ramp was scheduled to be closed last weekend, but weather caused a delay.

Other I-494 work includes concrete paving on the northbound side of the interstate between Lake Road and Tamarack Road. Also, crews continue to build a noise wall on the east side of the interstate south of Lake Road.

The I-494 project is scheduled to be complete July 20.
