NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE

GENERAL OBLIGATION ALTERNATIVE FACILITIES BONDS

(QUALIFIED ZONE ACADEMY BONDS)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the School Board of Independent School District No. 833 (South Washington County Schools), State of Minnesota (the "District"), adopted a resolution (the "Resolution") on March 18, 2010 stating the intention of the School Board to issue the District's general obligation alternative facilities bonds (the "Bonds") in the total aggregate principal amount of not to exceed $4,370,000, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 123B.59 and Chapter 475, as amended and Section 54E of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the "Code"). The proceeds of the Bonds will be used to finance the following projects included in the District's approved ten-year facilities plan and related financing costs:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the School Board of Independent School District No. 833 (South Washington County Schools), State of Minnesota (the "District"), adopted a resolution (the "Resolution") on March 18, 2010 stating the intention of the School Board to issue the District's general obligation alternative facilities bonds (the "Bonds") in the total aggregate principal amount of not to exceed $4,370,000, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 123B.59 and Chapter 475, as amended and Section 54E of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the "Code"). The proceeds of the Bonds will be used to finance the following projects included in the District's approved ten-year facilities plan and related financing costs:

-indoor air quality, HVAC and plumbing projects at the Newport Elementary School facility, including replacement of water heaters and water softeners, boiler stack modifications, replacement of bathroom fixtures, replacement of casework, bathroom repairs, replacement of kitchen hoods, replacement of building signage, replacement of drinking fountains and HVAC replacement.

The total amount of District indebtedness as of March 1, 2010 is $277,095,000. If the proposed Bonds in the principal amount of not to exceed $4,370,000 plus the bonds proposed for improvements to the Royal Oaks and Woodbury Elementary Schools and for districtwide deferred maintenance projects in the principal amount of not to exceed $19,565,000 were issued, the total indebtedness of the District would be $301,030,000.
