Gardeners invited to Spring Fling event
March 13 at Oak-Land Junior High Schoool
The Washington County Horticultural Society’s 23rd annual Spring Fling – East Metro gardening seminars will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Saturday March 13 at Oakland Junior High School, 820 Manning Avenue N., Lake Elmo.
Keynote speakers will be Debbie Lonee presenting “New and Exciting Annual Varieties for 2010” and Martin Stern with “Making the Most of It: Plants and ideas for Every Season.”
In addition to the keynote seminars, participants will be able to choose to attend two more sessions. Offerings include Winter Seed Sowing, Adding Height to the Garden Using Vines and Small Trees, Lilies for the Northern Garden, The Wonderful World of Peonies, Innovative Garden Design Using Vegetable Varieties for MN and Helpful Information about Hostas.
The event will include coffee, a hot lunch catered by Tinucci’s, raffle and door prizes and commercial gardening vendors.
Pre-registration is required by Monday, March 1 by mailing a $30 check payable to: WCHS Spring Fling, 777 Greenway Ave, Oakdale, MN 55128.
