Lake Middle School invites the community to join their fundraising efforts for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Pennies for Patients program.
More than 25,000 schools nationwide will participate in the event.
For the next four weeks, through Friday, March 5, students will collect coins and paper money.
Children will have the opportunity to participate in special events each Friday by donating $1.
Last year Oak Pointe Intermediate School in Eden Prairie raised $42,858.24 claiming the top spot in the nation for the program. Chaska Middle School raised $29,240.58.
