New restaurant completes first week

A new Woodbury restaurant is entering is first full weekend of business.

Aperitif, a Mediterranean-themed restaurant and bar, opened Jan. 30 on the northwest corner of Tamarack Road and Bielendberg Drive.

The restaurant, located near the Sheraton Hotel, first was to have an Italian theme, but the project got bogged down and construction was delayed.

A new management firm, The Nyman Group, took over last year, changed the theme and name and finished the project.

Aperitif is the group's first Minnesota restaurant, but it could become a prototype for similar restaurants elsewhere.
