City to form task force for infrastructure study

The infrastructure study the Afton City Council directed the city engineer to perform is taking steps forward.

On Jan. 19 the City Council approved the city engineer’s request to develop a public task force for the study that would include council members along with: residents, members of the Afton Historical Society or Heritage Preservation Commission, staff members from Washington County and business owners. The task force would look at the infrastructure needs for the city and develop strategies for the study.

A public meeting for residents to learn more about the objectives of the task is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 27.
