Council to fill Planning Commission seat

The Woodbury City Council will appoint someone to serve out the term of Planning Commission member Francis Green, who is stepping down.

Green’s term ends in December. Council members decided Wednesday they will ask a local resident who has been active in city issues to finish the term, and will forego another formal recruitment process by city staff.

Council members have not decided who they will appoint for the remainder of this year. The Planning Commission meets monthly.

The City Council then will appoint a new Planning Commission member to begin a three-year term in January 2011.
