Have you looked at your property tax statement lately? Local businesses have.
Principal taxpayers in School District 833 include Xcel Energy, Woodbury Village Shopping Corp., 3M, Grand Reserves Apartment Corp. and Allina Health Systems, according to a district profile in a recent audit.
The district is the largest employer with 2,484 workers. Other large employers are HealthEast Woodwinds at 837, 3M with 700 and Renewal by Anderson with 470 employees.
Other principal employers include Woodbury Health Care Center, Target Stores, Ecowater, Marathon Petroleum Co. and SuperMom’s Bakery.
