A non-custodial parent who left a home in Woodbury with her 12-year old son Tuesday was taken into custody without resistance Wednesday.
Susan Jean Seaberg, 50, was found Wednesday with her son in Clear Lake, Iowa, one day after she took him and all his belongings from his father's home on Mariner Way without permission.
Seaberg was booked and then released Wednesday by local authorities in Clear Lake.
Woodbury police are still working on the investigation to determine what, if any, charges Seaberg will face in connection with the incident, said Sgt. Sue McMahon of the Woodbury Public Safety Department.
The child was to be returned to his father, Woodbury police officials confirmed Wednesday.
Police investigators tracked the woman's location via her cell phone with the help of her cell phone service provider, McMahon said.
The woman took her son from his Woodbury home without permission around 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, according to a press release from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
