'A Tree Grows in Brooklyn' at Jan. 5 event
The R.H. Stafford Branch Library’s book club will discuss “A Tree Grows in Brooklyn” by Betty Smith, an American classic: a young girl's coming-of-age at the turn of the century, at the next club meeting Tuesday, Jan. 5.
To attend, pre-read the book and join the discussion, 6:30 p.m. at the library, 8595 Central Park Place in Woodbury. No sign-up is necessary.
The Tuesday, Feb. 2 book club selection will be “The Omnivore’s Dilemma” by Michael Pollan. His book explores why we eat what we eat in the twenty-first century and the results of those choices.
