Community Theatre auditioning for ‘Mame’

Woodbury Community Theatre is holding auditions Jan. 4 and 5 for the musical “Mame.”

The play will have a very large cast including two boys, ages 8 – 12, two teen boys, ages 17 – 20, ten teenagers, 16 –19 and many adults, ages 20 – 70.

Auditions will be held Monday, Jan. 4 and Tuesday, Jan. 5 at Woodbury /Peaceful Grove United Methodist Church, 7465 Steepleview Road in Woodbury. Young boys should come between 6:30 and 7 p.m.; teenagers and adults may audition from 7 to 9 p.m.

Those auditioning should bring an up tempo song with music for the pianist and should be prepared to dance and read.

Callbacks, if necessary, will be held Thursday, Jan. 7 from 7 to 9 p.m.

A meet and greet will be held Monday, Jan. 18 and rehearsals will begin Monday, Jan. 25. Performances are scheduled for the weekends of March 5 and 12.
