Register now for middle school ski/snowboard club

District 833 Community Education is once again offering middle school students, grades 6 – 8, the opportunity to go downhill skiing or snowboarding at Afton Alps on Thursdays after school Jan. 14, 21, 28 and Feb. 4 and 11. The $120 cost includes lift ticket and transportation. Students with a season pass may use the transportation only option for $60.

The bus will leave school roughly 15 minutes after school and return to the school at approximately 8:15 p.m.

The opportunity to take lessons is offered each visit for $4. Students must sign up in person at the Ski School desk immediately upon arrival each visit.

Ski rental – boots, poles, skis – and snowboard/boot rental is available for $18 per visit. The deadline to register for the club is Jan. 8, but early registration is encouraged as space is limited.

An organizational meeting will be held Thursday, Jan. 7, after school.
