Relay For Life 2010 meeting set for Nov. 23

The 2010 Relay For Life planning committee will meet Monday, Nov. 23, 7 p.m. at East Ridge High School, 4200 Pioneer Drive, Woodbury. Anyone interested in participating in planning for the event is welcome to attend.

The meeting agenda includes discussion of the 2010 mission and goals, committee composition, team and sponsor recruitment, youth involvement, and survivorship outreach.

Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature fundraiser. According to organizers, “the event brings together more than 3.5 million people each year to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer.”

All Relay For Life proceeds support cancer research, education, advocacy, and patient and caregiver services.
