Seedings were made official for Section 4AAAAA, 4AAAA and 4AA playoff brackets, with Woodbury claiming a No. 3 seed, East Ridge a No. 7 and New Life Academy a No. 8 in their respective sectionals.

Woodbury got its expected No. 3 spot after a 5-3 season that culminated in a loss to Cretin-Derham Hall on Tuesday. The Royals host 3-5 Minneapolis South next Tuesday at Royals Stadium.

A win will most likely have WHS on the road for round two at No. 2 seed Henry Sibley, who amassed a 6-2 record this fall — yet, an upset from No. 7 Park, who won just one game in the regular season, would have the Wolfpack coming to WHS for a Halloween night rematch.

Park's lone victory of this autumn came against East Ridge, who, despite an 0-8 inaugural campaign snared the No. 7 seed over 3-5 North Branch.

The Raptors final chance at a win in 2009 comes next Tuesday at No. 2 St. Paul Central, who were 6-2 this fall.

If ERHS is able to pull off the victory, they would advance to play on Halloween against either No. 3 St. Paul Como Park or No. 6 Hill-Murray.

New Life, winner of one game this season, travels to No. 1 Mayer-Lutheran on Tuesday.
