The Woodbury football team managed to stay above the .500 mark on Friday night with a fourth-quarter rally to victory to defeat Roseville, 27-23.
Lamonre Edwards ran in the game's final score from six yards out in the final frame — his third touchdown of the night — as the visiting Royals pulled off a win in a back-and-forth contest on Homecoming night for the Raiders.
Roseville held a 10-7 first-quarter lead before Edwards' second score of the contest on a 20-yard run and a 45-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Jake Quast to tight end Josh Stickels gave the Royals a 21-17 lead at the break after the Raiders scored to close out the first half of play.
The third quarter went scoreless before the hosts took a 23-21 lead in the fourth before Woodbury's final and victorious drive clinched the victory for the visitors.
The win improved coach Beau LaBore's club to 4-2 on the year as they now prepare to travel to 3-3 Hastings next Wednesday night.
