The Woodbury City Council will vote on a preliminary 2010 budget Wednesday, Sept. 8 that, if approved, would hold property taxes flat for the average value home.
The staff-recommended operating budget of $25.97 million represents a 0.2 percent increase from 2009 general fund spending. The budget plan calls for a 2.5 percent levy increase.
Once the preliminary budget and levy are set, the county will send out truth-in-taxation notices to residential property owners.
The city has until the end of the year to approve a final budget and levy.
The final levy cannot be more than the preliminary figure, but it can be less.
The council meets at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall.
