Bluegrass festival will play at Lake Elmo Park ReserveWashington County Parks annual event to be held Sept. 12
The eighth annual Washington County Bluegrass Festival will be held outdoors at Lake Elmo Park Reserve, Saturday, Sept. 12, from 2:30 to 7 p.m.
This year’s festival will feature Pickin’ Up Steam, 2:30 p.m., Monroe Crossing, 3:30 p.m., and Pert’ Near Sandstone, 5:30 p.m.
Visitors are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket for seating. Several food and non-alcoholic beverage vendors will be at the festival. The festival site has a large playground and several barbeque grills that are located nearby, as well as biking trails and a boat launch.
Camping is also available in the park. (Reservations for camping are recommended and pets are not permitted in the campground or at the festival site.)
Vehicles without a county parks parking pass, must purchase a daily parking pass for $5, or may purchase an annual park pass, $25, which is valid for 12 months in all of the Washington County, Carver County, and Anoka County parks. No pass is needed for those entering the park on a bicycle or on foot.
The entrance to Lake Elmo Park Reserve is located at the intersection County Road 19 and County Road 10 (one mile north of Interstate 94) in Lake Elmo. The festival will take place at the South Picnic Shelter.
